Bath & Body Works issued an apology for selling candles with designs resembling Ku Klux Klan hoods, acknowledging the mistake and committing to removing the controversial products from stores immediately.

 

Bath & Body Works has discontinued a candle called "Snowed In" after social media users compared its snowflake design to a Ku Klux Klan hood. Though the resemblance was unintentional, the candle was pulled from stores and the website. The company issued an apology, stating they are committed to correcting mistakes, even unintended ones, and are reviewing their processes. The controversy led to the candle being humorously dubbed the “klandle” online. Despite its removal, the candle appeared on eBay, where one listing priced it at $350, though eBay prohibits listings with racist language.
