Trump campaign criticizes Vice President Harris, calling her recent Fox News interview a "train wreck," highlighting her responses as evidence of incompetence ahead of the 2024 election campaign.

Karoline Leavitt, former national press secretary for President Trump, sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris's Fox News interview with Bret Baier, calling it a “train wreck” in a post on X. Leavitt accused Harris of being “angry” and “defensive,” claiming she avoided responsibility for the country's issues and failed to provide clear answers, labeling her entire campaign as based on lies about Trump. 

Leavitt stated, “Kamala can’t handle the pressure of a Fox News interview—she certainly can’t handle being President.” 

Harris’s interview was marked by frequent exchanges with Baier over topics such as immigration, President Biden’s mental fitness, transgender prisoners, and cases involving migrants accused of murder. The Make America Great Again PAC echoed Leavitt’s criticisms, calling Harris “angry” and “unfit” for office, pointing to her media appearances, including her recent “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

The MAGA PAC statement added that Harris’s team kept her out of the media spotlight due to her “disastrous” track record and inability to form “a coherent sentence.” The Harris campaign has not commented on Leavitt’s remarks.

However, Harris Campaign Communications Director Brian Fallon defended the interview, saying it allowed Harris to reach a conservative audience and show resilience. Fallon emphasized that the interview achieved its goal of presenting Harris’s arguments to voters who may not have heard them before and showing her toughness under difficult questioning.
